New Mexico Junior Wrestling
NMJW was formed in 1998 to support the junior wrestling community of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The founders saw a need for a coordinated and collaborative effort to assist the the growing community of young athletes. In an effort to promote character, health, and sportsmanship within the community, NMJW was started. NMJW now supports the community by being the single point of contact for the many junior level tournaments and junior teams in the Greater Albuquerque Area.

To give all participants an enjoyable, wholesome, rewarding introduction and education to wrestling. To give all participants an opportunity to develop their physical skills through the medium of wrestling. To give all participants an opportunity to meet, know and appreciate other boys and girls from diverse physical, ethnic, economic, social and cultural backgrounds. And, to give all participant an activity that will develop their character physical well being and an appreciation for sportsmanship under the guidance of direct adult leadership.
